The Characters

Shandi: One of my two roommates. Shandi is a theatre major with me. She owns and affectionately cares for Coco, even when he is a pain. She works day and sometimes the afternoon shift at her job, often leaving the animals to Danni or myself.

Danni: My other roommate: She is Shandi's best friend and has graduated college. She brought Charlie home with her during the start of summer which in turned lead to the making of this blog. She loves him very much but is cautious because she hasn't ever owned a dog before and doesn't want to mess up.

Me: I'm a theatre major at the college in town. I'm the oddball in the fact that out of the three of us: I don't own a pet. I currently am picking up a job and working on a show at one of the community theaters in town. I'm usually the one who is home with the animals which allows me to observe/have many funny interactions. As a side note I write how I think and speak: with pauses, sarcasm, and lots of tangents.

Animals
Coco: Shandi's siamese cat. He, like most cats, sleeps most of the day away ...and most of the night as well. However when he is awake at 2 in the morning he makes sure I know it by walking on my face and chest, biting my toes, kneading my back or a mix of the 3. Though he has lived with us longer, he still feels he has to show off to Charlie that this is his house, not Charlie's. This results in him running around the house to and climbing chairs to show off his agility. He is always hungry so I have come to think of him kind of like a grumpy college kid, seeing as I know a few.

Charlie: Danni's dog. We aren't a 100% sure what he is but as we find out I'll add it to the blog. He's 2 years old and really excited to be here with us. He isn't too terribly social around other dogs but we are slowly trying to fix that but he loves to play with the three of us and occasionally the cat (when Coco doesn't try to bite his tail). He also really loves walks and usually tires out the person walking him before himself. He's good with new people and kids, not so much new dogs though. Once he does know you he'll tell you "OH I LOVE YOU" with lots of licks to the face ....lots. I've come to see him as a hyper little kid who just loves the world.

Special Guests
Animals
Max (Maximus): One of my buddy's English bulldog. He's about Charlie's height though twice his width. I'm not calling him fat, he isn't. He is just a bulldog, it is the way they're built. He's about 8 or 9 months old and really playful. No, you don't get it, all he wants is to play and that sometimes that leads to trouble because he doesn't completely understand the concept of "No I don't want to play with you," yet.

Jax: One of my other buddy's dog (not 100% sure what he is either, when I know you'll know). It's slightly convenient that both buddies are roommates, though it means you will almost always see Jax and Max together (not such a good thing for Charlie). While Jax hasn't truly been featured in the blog yet, just mentioned, I hope that in the near future there is something that I'm able to feature him in.
